Privacy
What the app keeps, why, who can see it and how to delete it, in plain words.
Sample policy
This is sample text for a fictional app, written to show the structure of a clear privacy page. Have your own policy written or checked for your app and the laws where you offer it.
What we keep
- Your name or nickname and your email address, so the people in your household know who is who and you can sign back in.
- Your lists, items, notes, claims and At home levels, so they sync between the phones in your household.
- Activity entries (who added, claimed or bought what), kept for 30 days on the free app.
- Basic crash reports, with no list contents, so we can fix problems.
What we don't keep
We don't keep your location, your contacts or what you spend. Shopping mode does not use location: you start it yourself.
Who can see your lists
Only the people in your household. A read-only link to a list can be seen by anyone who has it, until you turn the link off.
Why we keep it
To run the app: syncing lists, showing who did what and restoring your account on a new phone. We don't sell or share your data, and there are no ads.
How long we keep it
Lists and items stay until you delete them or the household. Activity is cleared after 30 days on the free app and after a year on the household plan. When you delete your household, its data is removed from our servers within 30 days and from backups within 90.
Your choices
- Export your lists as a CSV file at any time.
- Leave a household, or delete it for everyone.
- Delete your account from Household, then Account.
- Ask us what we hold about you: email [email protected].
