Reel 07 · Objects in motion
Objectsthat movewhen you do.
Reelwright is a small design and motion studio. This reel is made of our own objects: rendered, turned, taken apart, flown through and finally handed to you.
SC 02Take 1Turn
One object. Every side.
A glass window on a cobalt foot, turned through a full circle. Sixty path-traced frames, scrubbed by your scroll. There is no video file on this page.

SC 04Take 3Live
Real time. Not a render.
Wide. The desk the studio works at: a glass window, a tray of tiles, a cup, a pencil and a cursor you can hold.
Low. The camera drops to tile height. Every frame is drawn by your machine, now.
Over. Across the window. The glass is a physical material, so it bends what is behind it.
Above. The plan view, the way we lay out every scene before it moves.
SC 05Contact sheet
Twelve frames. Pick one.
Every world we built this year, printed small. Choose a frame and it opens to full bleed; press Escape to put it back.
SC 06Alternate takes
Second takes. Better light.

SC 07Light table
Your turn. Throw them.
The props from this reel, cut out and left on the light table. Drag, flick and let them glide. Keyboard: focus one and use the arrow keys.

SC 08End of reel
That's the reel.
Reelwright makes objects, then makes them move: product renders, scroll films, launch sites and the short cuts that go with them. If you have a thing that should turn, open or glide, write to us.
