01

Above the valley

Out of the cloud line, the hill appears: terraces stepping down to a quiet pool and a few thatched roofs.

A carved stone gate, split down the middle, framing a path to an open pavilion.

02

Through the gate

A split stone gate and a short path. By the last step, the road is already far behind.

An open pavilion with low sofas and a dark polished floor, the misty valley beyond the columns.

03

The open pavilion

No walls and no front desk. Sit down, and the valley is the view from every seat.

Stone steps between moss-covered stone lanterns, leading to a thatched villa with carved doors.

04

The garden path

Frangipani, wet grass and stone lanterns that are lit at dusk, all the way to your door.

A canopy bed with white netting in a timber room, glass doors open to a terrace and the valley in mist.

05

Your villa

Carved doors, a canopy bed and the whole valley through the glass. Stay as long as the mist does.

The days

Slow mornings, long afternoons, an early night.

Low timber tables in the open pavilion, a stone figure and the valley beyond.

Breakfast in the pavilion

Served in the open pavilion from first light, while the mist is still sitting in the valley. Dinner is set there too, by lantern light.

A view through open glass doors to a pool edge and hills under low cloud.

Quiet afternoons

Massage and simple treatments can be arranged in your villa, so you never have to leave the view.

Rice terraces curving down the hill below the resort.

Walks at first light

A guide walks you along the terrace edges and back before the heat. Ask the evening before.

Location

On a ridge above the Sennow valley.

The road ends at the gate. Below the ridge, the valley fills with cloud most mornings and clears by mid-morning, leaving terraces, forest and the next line of hills.
